DIY Button jar
I have found some old jars in the garage and old buttons in the drawer... Look what I have done!
I craft, U craft!
Materials and tools:
- jars
- buttons (or coins)
- glue gun
- scissors
- spray paint
- paper scotch tape
- optional: newspaper, sticks, mask, gloves.
Make a pattern of buttons on a scotch tape (but this is not necessary). This is just to ease your job.
Clean the surface of your jars for better sticking. Wrap tape around on the jar, if you want to get a see through effect. Glue buttons on the jar. Make sure you line your buttons up right.
I have chosen to work outside with help of newspaper and sticks. Do not forget about your safety!
Shake well spray bottle. Test paint on the newspaper. Move it back and forward slowly. Don’t apply a heavy coat to avoid dripping. Apply multiple thin coats of paint. Especially light colors need multiple coats. Wait till paint dries completely and remove tapes.
Jars are ready! Look how can they be used.
